Why we built Siftbox

It started with a morning ritual we hated, deleting emails from brands we actually like.

Every morning started the same way, coffee in one hand, phone in the other, thumb on the delete button.

New arrivals, flash sales, loyalty points, a personal note from a CEO, ten or fifteen emails gone before breakfast, and almost all of them from brands I chose to hear from, brands I still like, brands whose one genuinely useful email a month I did want to see.

That was the trap. Unsubscribing felt wrong because these weren’t spammers, they were companies I wanted to keep in touch with, but keeping everything meant starting every day with a chore and training myself to ignore the very senders I’d signed up for.

The thought that started it

One of those mornings, mid-delete, the thought landed: wouldn’t it be cool if a platform could just sort this out for you, without touching your existing inbox?

Not another filter bolted onto Gmail, and not a “focus mode” that hides the mess without shrinking it, but something that sits in front of your inbox entirely, so the noise never arrives in the first place.

What Siftbox does

You give brands a Siftbox address instead of your real one, and when their emails arrive, Siftbox reads them and forwards only what matches the topics you actually care about. The sale from the running shoe brand you follow gets through, while the daily “new arrivals” blast doesn’t.

Your real inbox stays yours, with no plugins, no permissions over your existing mail, and nothing to install. The mornings get quieter, and when a brand email does show up, it’s one worth opening.

Try it

Siftbox is live and free to start, so create your first Siftbox address and give it to the next brand that asks for your email.
